The ideal candidate will combine a personal touch with commercial acumen, leveraging their experience to drive business development and growth within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including property settlements, parenting disputes, and family violence cases.
- Lead and mentor a small team of family lawyers in Melbourne, with opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the family law practice as a core pillar of our national offering.
- 7+ years of post-admission experience in Family Law, preferably at Principal or Senior Associate level.
- A modest client following or strong referral network, with the potential to bring in and grow your own work.
- Commercially savvy with a proven track record of meeting billable targets (approximately 5 hours per day).
- Eligibility for inclusion on the BLSB register and family law legal aid panel (even if rarely used).
- A hybrid work arrangement, allowing flexibility between office time and remote work.
- Dedicated administrative and marketing support, enabling focus on client work and business development.
