Trading Algorithm Specialist

As a Trading Algorithm Specialist, you will play a key role in the development of automated energy trading solutions. You will work at the intersection of markets, technology, and energy assets, designing and refining algorithms that power commercial opportunities.

  • Solving complex real-world problems by developing business logic and algorithms from inception through to production.
  • Assessing and interpreting business needs; analysing, designing, and implementing trading algorithms and supporting the development of applications & solutions.
  • Identifying, exploring and communicating opportunities and strategies to leverage the asset portfolio to capture value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a strong grasp of market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Tracking performance of existing and new implementations of algorithms and assessing new opportunities from market information.

You are comfortable working in an ever-changing world, with strong curiosity and proactively seeking new knowledge. As a technical innovator and a creative problem solver, you enjoy solving complex business problems. In addition to the above, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong expertise in Python programming language.
  • Proven ability to understand complex problems and design solutions that have been taken to production.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within an energy trading company in a relevant area.
  • High proficiency in data analysis and algorithmic thinking.
