Job Description

As a senior building consultant and team leader, you will provide technical guidance to the wider team and clients through thorough building inspections and detailed reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive property inspections to identify defects, evaluate compliance, and assess liabilities.
  • Carry out unbiased investigations for diverse clients.
  • Prepare professional reports documenting causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation strategies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in all aspects of building consultancy, including homeowners warranty, litigated claims, large loss, complex causation, scope of works, estimating, and project management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Embody a professional service mindset through organisational learning, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Provide expert testimony in court proceedings as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of technical experience in building consultancy work.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business sense.
  • Excellent client relationships and communication skills.
  • High motivation, responsibility, sound judgment, and customer focus.
  • Leadership experience or aspirations.
  • Previous experience in documenting and leading diverse projects.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced consulting environment with competing demands.
  • Exceptional technical report writing skills.
