Job Title: Senior Environmental Scientist

Job Description:

As a Senior Environmental Scientist, you will work on challenging and rewarding projects across Australia, Asia-Pacific, Canada, and the United States. Your primary objective will be to contribute to better environmental outcomes through expert technical advice and leadership.

This role requires a senior professional with 7-10 years of experience in contaminated land consulting. You must possess a degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with industry certification (CEnvP or CPSS) or a keen interest in pursuing this.

Key responsibilities include leading delivery of complex urban renewal, precinct-level design, and remediation projects. This involves overseeing fieldwork tasks, including soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapour sampling, as well as preparing technical reports and client deliverables.

Collaboration is essential in this role, requiring effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and senior staff. You will also lead proposal preparation and project costing, ensuring accurate financial management.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of QLD and national environmental frameworks (NEPM, EP Act, etc.). Strong communication and technical writing skills are necessary for this position. A team-first attitude, proactive mindset, willingness to learn from others, and a desire to ask questions and think critically about technical matters are all essential qualities.
