We're seeking an experienced Assistant Category Manager to join our Big W Commercial team, focusing on the Baby & Pet categories. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to drive sales growth, optimize promotional programs, and develop strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute promotional strategies to drive market-leading value for customers.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal promotional investments and executions.
  • Manage key strategic initiatives, delivering targets on sales growth, profitability, and market share.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement promotional activities effectively.
  • Deliver optimum ranges through a planned review schedule, offering store-tailored solutions that incorporate customer trends and insights.

You'll Bring:

  • Previous experience in Category Management or Buying, with a focus on project management and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, with a broad skill set in increasing sales and profit.
  • Analytical skills and customer insight to inform strategic decisions.
  • Able to negotiate and influence with cross-functional and external stakeholders.
