Trainee Civil Designer Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Trainee Civil Designer and contribute to the delivery of capital works projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in civil design, work closely with experienced professionals, and develop skills through on-the-job training.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing civil design advice to internal and external stakeholders, developing skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and the completion of a recognized tertiary course in Civil Design. They will also work collaboratively with other teams across the organization, including community projects, civil projects, and construction management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement civil design plans and specifications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and resolve design issues.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases and project proposals.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to completing a Diploma of Civil Construction Design.
  • Understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles.
  • Reliable transport for attending work and external training providers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
