We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Highmark Health. As a Cardiac Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals with complex cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and plan individualized care for patients with cardiac conditions, including chest pain, acute GI bleeds, and cardiac monitored patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care and health services.
- Participate in patient safety initiatives and quality improvement projects to ensure the highest level of care.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and support staff as needed.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, evaluate, and implement patient plans of care.
- Derive culturally and age-appropriate expected outcomes involving patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
- Accept assignments in areas other than primary units and perform duties within individualized competency.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous lifelong learning and professional development.
- Completed RN training program and PA RN licensure or practice permit.
- CPR certification.
- Certification in area of specialty (preferred).
