Job Description:
  • The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse facility. This includes managing a team to ensure efficient and effective execution of warehouse operations, customer material management, and distribution functions.
  • The supervisor will also be responsible for monitoring and controlling inventory integrity through audits and correct material handling practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily pre-start meetings to ensure a smooth start to the day.
  • Understand and assign daily priorities based on business requirements.
  • Daily monitoring and supervision of all warehouse activities and staff, with adjustments made to daily workloads and priorities as needed.
  • Oversee warehouse receipts, deliveries, and dispatches to ensure quality and quantity of commodities.
  • Verify quality and count of commodities being received, collected, and delivered from the warehouse.
  • Check all loads before they are dispatched and spot check all goods received.
  • Develop a strong understanding of internal inventory processes.
  • Become proficient in areas of Warehouse operations to cover daily operations if required.
  • Liaise with transport vendors as point of contact.
  • Identify and address inventory reduction and relocation, documenting correctly.
  • Perform regular physical inventories of commodities counts in the warehouse, maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitor and control inventory integrity through audits and correct material handling practices.
  • Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner, escalating as necessary.
  • Track and report non-conforming products to ensure transactional integrity.
  • Supervise cleaning, maintenance, and repair of the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular warehouse inspections, including controls, standard operating procedures, safe working practices.
  • Ensure accurate and neat stacking of commodities, training employees on good stacking methods and commodity handling practices.
  • Attend daily operational meetings as required, both internally and with customers.
  • Encourage open communication and collaboration with other functions to provide high-quality service.
  • Perform other tasks identified by the Global Operations Director.
