Job Description:

WEA Sydney is one of Australia's oldest and most respected providers of adult education. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to oversee our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) operations, ensure compliance, and lead the revitalisation and expansion of our VET programs.

About the Role:

  • Permanent Part-Time | 2 days per week
  • Sydney CBD

The successful candidate will ensure WEA Sydney meets the Standards for RTOs and statutory requirements, while driving the development and delivery of accredited and non-accredited VET courses. The role combines compliance management with program innovation, offering scope to shape the future of vocational education at WEA Sydney.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring compliance with ASQA, AVETMISS, NCVER, and government standards.
  • Coordinating assessment review, validation sessions, and audits.
  • Managing student records and assessment services, including RPL processes and certificate issuance.
  • Overseeing curriculum development, training needs analysis, and industry consultation.
  • Preparing training and assessment plans, course descriptions, and resources including e-learning materials and interactive content.
  • Monitoring online learner engagement and using analytics to improve digital course quality for completions.
  • Designing and implementing online learning modules, ensuring accessibility and engagement for diverse adult learners.
  • Identifying and tendering for funding opportunities and managing reporting requirements.
  • Expanding WEA Sydney's VET offerings to meet community and industry needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

You will bring proven experience in RTO compliance and management, with strong knowledge of the Standards for RTOs and adult education principles. You are detail-focused, proactive, and collaborative, with the ability to balance compliance requirements with innovative program development.

  • TAE50122 (Diploma of Vocational Education and Training).
  • Experience in VET compliance and audit preparation.
  • Strong understanding of AVETMISS, ASQA, and funding requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in online learning design and delivery, including use of learning management systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of principles of adult learning in online environments.
  • Ability to manage people and support continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
