Student Support Services Psychologist Role

As a dedicated professional, you will play a vital role in our Student Support Services teams. These teams collaborate with schools to address barriers that hinder student access, preparation, and progress toward achieving their educational goals.

This position is ideal for those who are passionate about helping children and young people reach their full potential and enjoy working in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment. As part of an Area-based multi-disciplinary health, wellbeing, and inclusion team, you will work to enhance the capability of schools to support student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level psychology support services to improve student learning.
  • Develop and implement advanced wellbeing interventions that support students and schools.
  • Assist in coordinating student support services within a multi-disciplinary team setting.
  • Contribute to policy development related to student wellbeing.
  • Lead professionally and operationally within a multi-disciplinary student support team.
  • Support teachers in developing educational programs, particularly for students with additional needs.
  • Offer authoritative professional advice on issues involving student wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with and provide advice to other student support services team members regarding complex cases.
  • Contribute to the professional development of other psychologist support service team members.
  • Liaise with community service organisations, healthcare providers, hospitals, specialist programs, and other professionals regarding student support needs.
Requirements:
  • A graduate or post-graduate degree in Psychology.
  • A full registration as a psychologist with the relevant registration agency.
  • A current Australian Drivers' Licence and Working with Children Check.
