Job Title: Social Planning Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Planning Officer to join our team at Tradewind Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing social plans, promoting community development, and ensuring the delivery of essential services and facilities to the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement social plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Community Development Team to plan and develop community services and facilities.
  • Liaise with government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure integrated service delivery.
  • Conduct social research, impact assessments, and policy reviews to inform decision-making.
  • Provide professional advice to the organization on community needs and government policies.
  • Implement volunteer coordination and special project work as determined by the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social planning, community development, or related roles.
  • Government or Council experience will be highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant government policies and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of volunteer management practices is desirable.
