About the Role

  • As an apprentice boilermaker, you'll work closely with skilled tradespeople, completing your nationally recognized Certificate III while gaining hands-on experience with underground mining equipment.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Fabricate structural components under supervision.

    • Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand project requirements.

    • Support qualified boilermakers in welding and metal preparation tasks.

    • Operate basic workshop tools and machinery after training.

    • Maintain a clean workspace and store tools correctly.

    • Follow safety procedures and wear PPE at all times.

    • Work as part of a team assisting with assembly, fitting and installation of conveyor components.

    • Attend TAFE training as part of the apprenticeship requirements.

    • Develop skills and knowledge by asking questions and learning from experienced tradespeople.

  • Year 10 completion (minimum).

  • Commitment to attend all required TAFE classes.
