Job Title: Registered Child and Family Health RN or RM

As a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional, we are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse and/or Midwife to join our Parents Help Line telephone service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality child and family health services to families caring for children 0-5 years of age through various modes of delivery, including telephone, telehealth virtual consultations and online interaction.
  • Work within the Tresillian Model of Care, Practice Principles and the NSW Health Professional Practice Framework for Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN).
  • Utilize strength-based and wellness-focused approaches to build parental confidence and skills through provision of information, education, resources, guidance and role modeling safe responsive care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Postgraduate/post-registration qualifications and relevant experience in Child and Family Health.
  • Understanding of and commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in attending to the physical, social and emotional needs of children and their families.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles and skills of working in partnership and the principles that underpin NSW Safe Start, within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, including computer literacy that meets the National Informatics Standards for Nurses and Midwives.
