Render Technician

We are seeking an experienced Render Technician to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for applying a smooth and even coat of render to buildings.

Responsibilities:

">

  • ">
  • Level and smooth render layers to ensure a consistent thickness and uniform finish.">
  • Create decorative textures in finishing coats, including sponging, stippling, and trowelled effects.">
  • Repair damaged plasterwork and restore weathered or cracked external walls.">
  • Straighten and plumb wall and surface corners to precise specifications.">
  • Cut and fit mesh or laths to strengthen render when required.">
  • Maintain tools and work areas in a clean and safe condition.">
  • Follow all health and safety procedures on-site.">

Qualifications and Skills:

  • ">
  • AQF Certificate III in Solid Plastering or equivalent qualification.">
  • At least two years of on-the-job training or three years of relevant experience may substitute formal qualification.">
  • ANZSCO Skill Level 3.">
  • Proven experience as a Renderer or Solid Plasterer, ideally with external façade work.">
  • Strong hand skills and attention to detail in surface preparation and finish.">
  • Ability to read and interpret basic plans and instructions.">
  • Familiarity with both traditional and acrylic render systems.">
  • Understanding of safety requirements and site protocols.">
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team.">
  • Registration or licensing may be required depending on state requirements.">
