Job Title: Landscape Manager

Overview

The Parks & Wildlife Service manages Tasmania's parks and reserves and protects the State's unique natural heritage while providing for the sustainable use and economic opportunities for the Tasmanian community.

This pivotal role leads the Landscape Program team, the central hub for statewide policy, planning, compliance, fire management and specialist advice within the Parks & Wildlife Service. To succeed in this role, you will be an accomplished leader, an outstanding communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and have a natural ability to influence and engage at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide authoritative and strategic policy advice to the Deputy Secretary, the Secretary and the Ministers on matters relating to Tasmania's parks and reserves systems.
  • Lead the Landscape Program team and central hub for statewide policy, planning, compliance, fire management and specialist advice within the Parks & Wildlife Service.
  • Engage with stakeholders and influence at all levels to support the department's strategic priorities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent level of skills.
  • Proven management experience in a large private or public sector organization.
