We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced retail leader to join our Hart Retail Group team as a Petstore Manager.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals in a fast-paced retail environment, providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example, mentoring and inspiring your team on a daily basis
  • Coach your team to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Create a strong safety culture within the team, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment
  • Recruit, onboard, and induct new team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed
  • Manage stock effectively, ensuring accurate stock levels and maintaining high levels of stock integrity
  • Stay up-to-date with pet care knowledge, products, and services, sharing this expertise with the team
  • Create a fun and supportive work environment, where team members feel valued and motivated
  • Support local marketing initiatives and sponsorships, promoting the store's involvement in the community
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a similar leadership role or a strong desire to take on this challenge
  • A proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and build a high-performing team
  • High levels of resilience and the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting tasks
  • The ability to create a positive safety culture
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Established business acumen, with a solid understanding of the retail industry
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions and priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Salary:

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
