Technical Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Engineering Lead to join our technical team in South Australia. The successful candidate will provide leadership and expertise to a highly specialized team of engineers responsible for delivering mission-critical communication solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, design, evaluate, and/or modify systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance across various technologies including LAN/WAN switching and routing, P25 Voice Networks, Paging Networks, Microwave Networks, and other Subsystems.
  • Oversee the operational health, security, and maintenance of public safety systems under the scope of the Operations Engineering team.
  • Manage day-to-day operational priorities and activities of the operations engineering team.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for Network Operations Centre (NOC) staff and Field/Operations Engineers requiring assistance.
  • Proactively identify systemic issues that may impact operations or customers and drive resolution using ITIL processes.
  • Maintain and enhance technical, procedural, and as-built documentation accuracy and completeness.
  • Promote compliance with ITIL service management processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electronics/Computer Systems Engineering or similar; extensive industry experience considered as an alternative.
  • ITIL v4 Certification.
  • Telecommunications, Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Microwave Transmission Network Experience.
  • CISCO/Juniper networking certifications.
  • Microsoft/Linux certifications.
  • Knowledge in SQL and Tableau reporting.
