Investigation and Compliance Specialist

This position involves conducting in-depth research to support case managers with accurate assessments of businesses and individuals. The role requires synthesizing findings into clear reports addressing key questions and concerns.
The successful candidate will conduct extensive research using various sources, including commercial and government databases, social media, litigation filings, and interview notes. They will interpret data to identify significant patterns and developments.
- Conduct exploratory research on businesses, industries, and events.
- Identify reputational, regulatory, and financial crime risks through detailed analysis.
- Review official public records and open-source materials online.
- Conduct research using various sources and synthesize findings into clear reports.

- Support case managers with in-depth research.
- Strong academic background or equivalent experience demonstrating proficiency in research, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in research, investigations, or related fields.
- Based in Sydney with familiarity with the Australian political, business, institutional, and social landscape.
Preferred qualifications include a strong understanding of financial news media and market terminology, as well as proficiency in a second language such as Mandarin, Arabic, Japanese, or Indonesian. Experience researching in the ANZ-Pacific region is also preferred.
