Flying Bark Productions is seeking a skilled Nuke Compositor to join our team of talented artists and technicians. As a key member of our visual effects team, you will play a critical role in the creation of high-quality visual effects for our feature films and television series.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Lighting TDs and creative Leads to achieve the creative brief set out by the VFX Supervisor
- Use Nuke Compositing software to meet the brief for the film, fulfilling the creative standards of the project
- Tackle shots creatively, while keeping an eye on continuity and taking responsibility for their final look
- Think of creative solutions to enhance shots, without overshadowing the overall story point or animation
- Seamlessly work with 2D, CG and/or 2.5D shots, understanding limitations in 2D and CG animation pipelines when required
- Manage time allocated to assigned work, and be organized and methodical in dealing with large amounts of shots, tracking versions and render management
- Produce final shots with neat and well-labelled node networks, with reference to files in correct locations and easy-to-navigate filing systems
- Be proactive and communicative with upstream teams and production, ensuring the efficient delivery of animation layers to compositing
- Communicate with the Pipeline team and aid in implementing improvements to the Comp pipeline
- Take direction from Supervisors and Leads, and address notes appropriately
- Have an understanding of film colour space, grading, and a superior eye for composition, colour, mood and lighting
