Reproductive wellbeing encompasses various aspects of women's health, incorporating physical, emotional, psychological, and social well-being.

The current research landscape in women's sexual and reproductive health focuses on reducing unintended pregnancy, increasing health literacy, and improving contraceptive uptake. However, there is a knowledge gap in understanding how women perceive reproductive wellbeing.

This qualitative PhD project aims to address this knowledge gap by exploring women's views on reproductive wellbeing and identifying ways health services can support them in achieving it. The study will involve interviews with women of reproductive age in Australia and provide valuable insights into the co-design of new health services and policy initiatives that prioritize patient-centered care.

A key aspect of this project is improving access to and the quality of women's sexual and reproductive healthcare services, particularly in areas such as preconception care, contraception, medical abortion services, and endometriosis diagnosis and management in primary care.

Monash University is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce. We welcome applications from candidates who are passionate about advancing women's sexual and reproductive health and willing to contribute to a collaborative research environment.

  • Required skills: Proficiency in research methods, data analysis, and communication
