PhD Opportunity: Enhancing Reproductive Health Through Digital Innovation

This project aims to empower women by developing a digital consumer-focused intervention in community pharmacies. The goal is to increase access to contraception, thereby reducing unintended pregnancies.
About the InitiativeIn Australia, approximately 40% of women experience unintended pregnancies during their lifetime. To address this issue, we will co-design a video animation with consumers and key stakeholders. This animation will be piloted in community pharmacies to assess its effectiveness in improving contraceptive knowledge and uptake among women.
Main Objectives:- Develop a digital intervention that facilitates increased access to contraception in community pharmacies.
- Evaluate the impact of the intervention on contraceptive knowledge and uptake among women.
Candidates must meet Monash University's minimum requirements for PhD admission. Only domestic students are eligible for this opportunity.
Supervisory Team:The principal supervisor is Professor Danielle Mazza AM FAHMS, a renowned expert in implementation research and knowledge translation.
