Job Opportunity

The Senior Building Consultant/Team Leader role entails providing expert advice on building repairs, with a balance between technical expertise and leadership responsibilities.

  • Conduct property inspections to identify defects, assess compliance, and evaluate liabilities related to the project.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation strategies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Building Consultancy, including Homeowners Warranty, Litigated Claims, Large Loss, Complex Causation, Scope of Works, Estimating, and Project Management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in relevant societies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant Government legislation, standards, and codes governing building, construction processes, technologies, and materials.
  • Provide expert witness testimony in court proceedings as required.

The ideal candidate will possess significant technical experience in building consultancy work (min 5+ years), strong commercial acumen, excellent client relationships and communication skills, high motivation, responsibility, sound judgment, and customer focus. Leadership experience or aspirations, previous documentation and leadership of diverse projects, ability to perform in a fast-paced consulting environment, and exceptional technical report writing skills are also essential.

  • Experience in commercial and domestic building practices, understanding building regulations, codes, and standards, and demonstrating the ability to interpret technical building matters.
