Job Title:

Risk Management Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced Risk Management Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational risk management and resilience, with experience in overseeing and challenging the operational risk and resilience management activities within a financial institution.

About the Role:

This is a senior-level position that requires a high degree of autonomy, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and identifying and mitigating potential risks to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee policies and standards intended to reduce business disruption and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure robust business resilience plans are in place to maintain critical operations and services during crises.
  • Oversight of control design and implementation, recurring risks and controls review, and resilience assurance and support for APRA notification/consultation.
  • Second-line challenge and oversight against operational risks, and governance frameworks.
  • Analysis of risk profiles, incident and issue data, assessment of Key Risk Indicators, and preparation of insights for fact-based reporting on Operational Risk performance and activity across the bank.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least six years of experience in financial services operational risk and resilience management, as well as a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
