Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to play a vital role in ensuring smooth and compliant financial operations across Australia, the UK, and Ireland.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable, preparing and submitting statutory returns, monitoring changes in tax and payroll legislation, and maintaining compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage accurate records and ensure timely payments for accounts receivable and payable.
- Prepare and issue invoices in line with agreed terms.
- Submit statutory returns (tax, quarterly filings, annual returns) across multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor legislative updates to maintain compliance with tax and payroll regulations.
- Maintain and update the chart of accounts across entities.
- Follow up on overdue debts and implement effective credit control measures.
- Lead automation initiatives within AP/AR to improve efficiency.
- Oversee cash flow, reconciliations, supplier payments, intercompany transfers, and other financial operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Xero (essential); experience with similar systems an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills to manage debtor follow-ups and build strong relationships.
- A proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve processes.
- Adaptable and collaborative, with a can-do attitude.
