Oracle SOA Specialist Role

This specialist role is responsible for providing technical expertise in Oracle Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and related technologies. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in application support, testing, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide application support and testing services to ensure current active knowledge of relevant software tools.
  • Utilize command tools, shell scripting, and programming languages to troubleshoot applications and resolve issues.
  • Develop and implement full software development life cycle and methodologies in Tomcat, WebLogic, or similar middleware server environments.
  • Work closely with other teams, including Architects, Analysts, Test, and Infrastructure teams, to deliver projects and support business-as-usual environments.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant IT disciplines or similar.
  • 8+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 6+ years of Java and J2EE design & programming, including web development experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of EDI Messaging concepts, WLI/OSB Development, SOA/BPEL Development, Java (J2EE) Programming, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, and conceptual and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate at all levels.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including leadership and business liaison skills.
  • Knowledge of customer service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Flexible with willingness to adapt to the dynamic working environment.
  • Ability to quickly understand and utilize new concepts, processes, and systems.
Preferred Skills:
  • Oracle Service Bus (OSB), BPEL, SOA, WebLogic, Spring, Hibernate, and REACT.
  • Logistics Operations Systems or Container Terminal Operations Systems.
