Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth flow of cash within an organization. This key position involves the timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, payments, and collections to ensure the company's financial health.

This specialist will be responsible for monitoring customer accounts for overdue payments, investigating and resolving customer queries or discrepancies related to invoices or payments, preparing regular AR aging reports, and assisting with cash flow forecasting.

To achieve this goal, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will work closely with the Sales team to review and resolve overdue debtor accounts, reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted, and assist with month-end closing activities, audits, and other ad hoc finance tasks as required.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role is essential.
  • A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and AR procedures is necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy levels are crucial.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills are required.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines is vital.
