We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Officer to join our maritime operations team in Western Australia. As the head of the Deck Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient planning of cargo and ballast handling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designated safety officer.
- The safe and efficient planning of cargo and ballast handling operations.
- Providing guidance and support to the Deck Officers including Deck Cadets.
- Having comprehensive knowledge of all maintenance and repair needs of the deck and throughout the accommodation.
- Assuming Masters responsibilities and command of the vessel in the absence of the Master.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Essential Requirements:
- Australian Citizen or hold a valid Australian working visa without working restrictions.
- MSIC Card (required).
- AMSA Chief Officer COC/COR Unlimited (required).
- STCW regulation II/2.
- Minimum 5 years sea time as a Watchkeeper Deck.
- Education Requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 71 (mandatory).
