About the Role

The Senior Staff Specialist/Staff Specialist (Otolaryngology) plays a crucial role in ensuring that Otolaryngology Services provided by Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Surgery in overseeing Otolaryngology Services across multiple sites within CQHHS.
  • Provide clinical services at various facilities within CQHHS, as required to meet service needs.
  • Supervise and educate surgical trainees, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Registration as a Specialist in Otolaryngology in Australia, with Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in the specialty.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and maintenance of a CME program.
