We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychologist to join our team at the NSW Rural Fire Service. As a Senior Psychologist, you will play a critical role in delivering state-wide and area-based mental health prevention, promotion, intervention, and recovery services to NSW RFS staff and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide trauma-informed assessment, formulation, and interventions for people with mild to moderate mental health conditions
- Implement programs to support better member mental health and wellbeing outcomes
- Provide psychoeducation and/or mental health and wellbeing content in a group setting
- Work as an effective team member within a multi-disciplinary team
- Participate in rostered on-call after-hours duties
- Demonstrated skills and experience in working as an effective team member within a multi-disciplinary team
- Provision of trauma-informed assessment, formulation, and interventions for people with mild to moderate mental health conditions
- Applied experience in implementing programs to support better member mental health and wellbeing outcomes
- Providing psychoeducation and/or mental health and wellbeing content in a group setting
- Genuine appreciation and understanding of a volunteer-based emergency service
- Ongoing employment
- Full-time role with a 35-hour working week
- Attractive annual salary $113,500 - $123,284 p.a. plus 10.5% superannuation
- Locations available: Albury & Tamworth
- State-wide Talent Pool opportunities for future vacancies in Coffs Harbour, Batemans Bay, Glendenning, Hunter Valley, and Cowra
- Annual AHPRA registration fee covered by the NSW RFS
- Monthly supervision provided/reimbursed by the NSW RFS
