Job Description:
The primary purpose of this role is to provide high-level traffic control services in the construction and maintenance of roads and drainage infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team to deliver safe and effective traffic control services, adhering to provided work zone traffic management plans and Council's category 'G' registration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to deliver safe and effective traffic control services in accordance with traffic management plans and Council's standards.
- Demonstrate ability to read, interpret, and set up traffic control plans (TCPs) and conduct ongoing checks of implemented devices.
- Assist in preplanning, programming, and delivery of routine works, including post-works record keeping requirements.
- Modify traffic management plans as required, ensuring adherence to established standards.
- Contribute to a positive safety culture by completing documentation, reporting incidents/hazards/near misses, and participating in team discussions.
- Initiate and encourage innovative work practices and procedures while maximizing resource utilization.
- Maintain small plant and hand tools safely and effectively.
Requirements:
- Holding a Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card).
- Possessing a Class MR Driver Licence.
- SafeWork accredited certificate for Traffic Controller.
- SafeWork accredited certificate for Implement Traffic Control Plans.
