Senior Research Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our research efforts across the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for research excellence and evidence-based practice.

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading research initiatives, mentoring staff and students, and driving the translation of research into clinical practice to enhance patient outcomes.

  • Lead and coordinate research initiatives within the Occupational Therapy department.
  • Mentor and support staff and students in research skill development.
  • Identify, apply for, and manage internal and external research grants.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate quality improvement activities.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based clinical guidelines and policies.
Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
  • Master's or PhD in a relevant area (or working towards).
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant post-graduate OT experience, recognised as a clinical expert.
  • Demonstrated research leadership with a strong publication history.
  • Current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain.
