Pharmacy Technician Job Description

About the Role:

A key requirement of this role is to provide comprehensive and quality pharmacy services to hospital staff, patients, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplying medications for hospital and oncology patients
  • Supporting imprest and pharmacy inventory management
  • Undertaking delivery and collection of medications to hospital wards
  • Completing data entry of patient specific information into database systems
  • Providing assistance with patient account enquiries
  • Liaising with hospital staff and associated employees
  • Assisting the pharmacy teams complete administrative and record keeping duties

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in an Australian based pharmacy environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
  • Strong time management, communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
