Quality Inspector RoleWe are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Quality Inspector to join our Eastern Creek, NSW team. This full-time permanent opportunity will commence on afternoon shift, with a future move to day shift when we relocate to Kemps Creek.
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for identifying quality issues in new products, ensuring full compliance, and collaborating with the QC and WHS teams to set up QC processes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform visual and functional inspections of incoming goods on a wide range of products, including AC/DC power tools, garden tools, petrol tools, air tools, generators, and floorcare products.
- Exceptional attention to detail to detect defects in manufactured goods and effectively communicate inspection results and recommendations to Quality Engineers, Product Managers, Production, and Manufacturing team members.
- Utilize investigative skills to diagnose faults, identify root causes, and provide guidance to rectify faults.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
- Follow established procedures and protocols for quality control, including sampling plans, inspection criteria, and documentation requirements.
- Oversee and instruct workers on performing spot checks and reworks as necessary.
- Participate actively and contribute to all quality department team meetings.
- Experience working as a quality inspector/engineer in a manufacturing environment, coupled with practical hands-on experience in conducting inspections and tests, is highly desirable.
- Product familiarity, particularly a strong interest in power tools, garden equipment, home appliances, and similar items.
- Proficient hands-on abilities to dismantle products, perform analysis, and reassemble them effectively.
- Proven experience in report writing, preferably in a professional or academic setting.
- Excellent communication skills, encompassing both written and verbal abilities.
- Strong Mechanical and or technical aptitude.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook for emails, Teams for collaboration, as well as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
