About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Quality Inspector to join our friendly, growing team in Eastern Creek, NSW. This full-time permanent opportunity will commence on afternoon shift, with the possibility of moving to day shift when we relocate to Kemps Creek.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and functional inspections of incoming goods on a wide range of products, including AC/DC power tools, garden tools, petrol tools, air tools, generators, and floorcare products.
  • Exceptional focus on detail to detect defects in manufactured goods and effectively communicate inspection results and recommendations to Quality Engineers, Product Managers, Production, and Manufacturing team members.
  • Utilize investigative skills to diagnose faults, identify root causes, and provide guidance to rectify faults.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for quality control, including sampling plans, inspection criteria, and documentation requirements.
  • Oversee and instruct workers on performing spot checks and reworks as necessary.
  • Participate actively and contribute to all quality department team meetings.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a quality inspector/engineer in a manufacturing environment, coupled with practical hands-on experience in conducting inspections and tests, is highly desirable.
  • Product familiarity, particularly a strong interest in power tools, garden equipment, home appliances, and similar items.
  • Proficient hands-on abilities to dismantle products, perform analysis, and reassemble them effectively.
  • Proven experience in report writing, preferably in a professional or academic setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, encompassing both written and verbal abilities.
  • Strong Mechanical and or technical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in computer operations, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook for emails, Teams for collaboration, as well as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
