Physiotherapist - Aged Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team as an Aged Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and evidence-based physiotherapy services to older adults in residential aged care facilities and community settings.

About the Role

  • You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and caregivers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being.
  • You will conduct comprehensive assessments, including functional capacity, mobility, pain, and post-falls evaluations, to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted interventions.
  • You will design and deliver tailored exercise programs to improve client outcomes and enhance quality of life.
  • You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • You will maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and progress, as well as contribute to the development of educational resources and training programs for caregivers and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Approved degree in Physiotherapy and full registration with the relevant professional body
  • Experience working in aged care or related field, preferably with functional assessments and DEMMI experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing situations
  • A passion for empowering older adults to achieve their maximum potential and live independently
