The Procurement Manager oversees the entire procurement process, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality control across various product categories and materials. This role involves strategically identifying and partnering with domestic and international suppliers to meet production and construction demands.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with preferred suppliers based on competitive pricing, product quality, and delivery reliability;
  • Negotiate bulk prices for similar products across different divisions;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date product and procurement lists, as well as drawings data bases;
  • Collaborate closely with each division to anticipate upcoming product and material requirements, ensuring timely reservation and acquisition;
  • Continuously assess priorities and place orders based on divisional needs and supplier capacity and performance;
  • Ensure sufficient inventory levels across the company;
  • Contribute to tender, bid, and estimation activities;
  • Perform other reasonable tasks and duties within skill and ability;
  • Engage in negotiations with suppliers and enter into agreements based on price, payment terms, quality, and reliability;
  • Liaise with suppliers and potential suppliers to understand current and future capacity;
  • Work closely with divisions to adjust to shifting priorities and prevent bottlenecks;
  • Resolve any quality and delivery issues with suppliers.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in complex purchasing environments, preferably in manufacturing and infrastructure sectors;
  • Understanding of operational and strategic procurement activities;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain processes;
  • Understanding of contract management and vendor management principles;
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings;
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to a schedule and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to navigate through varying divisional priorities and keep internal customers satisfied.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in international purchasing;
  • Background in structural steel and/or metal fabrication industries;
  • Knowledge of relevant material codes and specifications.
