About the Role

The Project Manager - Transmission Connection will be responsible for overseeing the Snowy Hydro/Lumea Project Agreement, leading Snowy Hydro's efforts during the construction and commissioning phases of the transmission connection, including coordinating the initial energisation of the Snowy 2.0 Project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the Contract, including safety, environmental obligations, commercial terms, scopes of work, schedules, technical priorities, and operational interfaces for the Snowy 2.0 Main Works project.
  • Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure effective, safe working relationships, including with site managers, construction overseers, and quality inspectors.
  • Perform Contract administration tasks, such as analysing contractual notices, managing EOT/VO claims, and monitoring schedules.
  • Assist commercial staff in developing procedures to expedite contractual timeframes.
  • Chair interface management meetings to address site boundary issues and coordinate project interfaces.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures, including monitoring contractor reports, test results, and inspections.
  • Regularly assess project progress against the schedule and key metrics, including site visits and discussions with the Contractor's project management.
  • Provide weekly reports to Snowy 2.0 stakeholders on safety, environment, and schedule aspects of the Transmission Connection project.
  • Meet regularly with Snowy 2.0 Project Management to align project requirements with overall progress.
  • Communicate issues related to quality assurance and contractual compliance.
Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering (civil or electrical) or Construction/Project Management, with demonstrated project management experience.
  • Experience with TNSP contracts, knowledge of TransGrid PSSR, and familiarity with transmission line construction are highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively, and experience with complex infrastructure projects.
  • Strong skills in managing external contractors and a commitment to a safe and positive workplace.
