Senior Legal Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Legal Professional to join our team in a leadership role focused on improving access to justice for women. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into senior management and relocate to Katherine, NT.
Main Responsibilities- To provide high-quality legal advice, casework & representation in complex matters.
- To supervise and mentor a team of solicitors.
- To act as principal legal officer when required.
- To lead community outreach and deliver legal education.
- To build relationships with stakeholders across legal, government & community sectors.
- To regularly travel in outreach work.
The ideal candidate will have admission as a solicitor in Australia and eligibility for an NT Practising Certificate. They should also have 4+ years post-admission experience in relevant practice areas, such as DFSV, family law or child protection, or a strong interest.
About YouWe are looking for someone with skills in trauma-informed, culturally safe practice, ideally with Aboriginal communities. Leadership and mentoring experience within a legal practice is also essential. Additional requirements include an Ochre Card, National Police Clearance, and Manual Driver's Licence.
