Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to provide culturally appropriate social work services for refugees and humanitarian arrival clients.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for refugee health and wellbeing, and be able to work effectively in a contemporary non-adversarial team environment.
- Work as a senior member of a multidisciplinary team to develop, provide and evaluate culturally appropriate social work services for refugees and humanitarian arrival clients.
- Mentor and supervise social work staff in accordance with contemporary best practice, current models of care, professional standards, and the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics.
- Provide social work services to refugees and humanitarian arrival clients, including assessment, intervention, and support.
- Develop and implement individualised plans to meet the needs of clients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Hold or be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
