Theatre Orderly Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Orderly to join our team at Northern Beaches Hospital. As a Theatre Orderly, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our interventional suite, providing exceptional patient care and support to our nursing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain a high standard of hygiene in all areas of the interventional suite, adhering to ACORN and Infection Prevention and Control standards.
  • Provide safe and effective patient handling and positioning, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.
  • Transport patients, specimens, equipment, and sundry items within and to and from the interventional suite, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned, including general cleaning, terminal cleaning of theatres, and surrounding areas, adhering to daily, weekly, and periodic schedules.
  • Provide support to the nursing team in the interventional area, assisting with patient care and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience as a Theatre Orderly in the healthcare industry.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
  • Proven organisational skills, with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Theatre Orderly practices, techniques, and equipment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Willingness to work rotating roster, including night shifts and weekends.
