About This Opportunity

The position of Operator/Labourer exists within our scrap metal recycling facility. Key responsibilities will include the sorting and organization of materials, with a focus on efficiency and safety.

This is a day shift role, operating from 6 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday, with additional opportunities for overtime available throughout the week and weekends.

This permanent full-time position includes comprehensive training, offering employees the chance to develop their skills and advance in their careers.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Sorting and categorizing scrap metals
  • Loading sorted materials into designated containers or storage areas
  • Maintaining cleanliness throughout the yard and operational spaces
  • Operating machinery, including forklifts, as required
  • Maintaining adherence to established workplace safety protocols at all times
Ideal Qualifications and Skills:
  • A valid forklift operator's license, while desirable, is not essential for this role
  • Prior experience in scrap recycling, construction, or manufacturing environments is highly advantageous
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety, paired with a willingness to learn and adapt
