About This Role:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repairs of civil earthworks equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-effective solutions.
  • Liaise with direct managers, supervisors, and colleagues to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Diagnose and repair faults, working to tight schedules while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement Lean practices to optimize workflows and improve overall performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in heavy diesel mechanics, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and emissions.
  • Knowledge of drivetrain, brakes, and suspension systems.
  • Basic auto electrical knowledge and competency with computers and digital diagnostics.
  • A current drivers' license (HR preferred but not essential).
  • Fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with sound communication skills and a commitment to Work Health and Safety.
