Life Science Lab Manager

The Lab Community Manager is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of a life science lab run smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily activities, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage laboratory operations to ensure all systems are functioning properly and safely. Conduct regular inspections and maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Lead tours and respond to inquiries from potential members. Develop strategies to convert leads into members and provide exceptional onboarding experiences.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective members and partners. Collaborate with senior management to meet occupancy and revenue targets through targeted outreach and engagement.
- Supervise lab technicians, allocate tasks, and support staff development through training and performance reviews.
- Manage purchasing, invoicing, and vendor payments related to lab operations. Liaise with finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and cost control.
- Foster a collaborative community among lab members through events and campaigns. Represent the lab at industry events and contribute to marketing efforts.
- A bachelor's degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience in laboratory operations and facilities management.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in leadership roles, with a proven track record of process improvement and team management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory safety standards, asset management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and foster a collaborative environment.
