Senior Family Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Family Lawyer to join our team. This role offers flexibility with work-from-home arrangements and office-based work in Brisbane.

As a Senior Lawyer, you will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload within timeframes that suit your needs. We are looking for a practitioner with a strong focus on family law and domestic violence matters, excellent professional and interpersonal skills, and good humour and composure needed to meet the demands of this area of practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality legal advice to clients and representing them in negotiations, mediations, and court appearances in family law and domestic violence matters;
  • Managing a wide range of cases, including Parenting and Property Settlement applications, Divorce Applications, Applications for Protection Orders, and Family Dispute Resolution, Mediation, Conciliation, and Arbitration;

We value client-focused, compassionate, and realistic services within practical timeframes, while minimising costs and stress for all involved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing expert legal guidance and support to clients in family law matters;

• Managing complex cases from start to finish, ensuring timely and effective resolutions;

• Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions;

• Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court appearances, as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A strong background in family law, with experience in domestic violence matters;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike;

• Good humour and composure, with the ability to remain calm under pressure;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
