About GM3 and IMC

GM3 is an emerging Australian metallurgical coal mining entity owned by global investment entities. As part of our growth, we are seeking a skilled Ventilation Coordinator to join our team.

This role is a permanent full-time position based at the Appin mine, near the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW. As the Ventilation Coordinator, you will plan ventilation works required to support the mine's production processes and the delivery of production forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to deliver ventilation and gas management requirements across short, medium, and long-term time frames.
  • Detailed planning and execution of the ventilation work groups and projects to support the mine's ventilation requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the elements of Appin's Safety Management System relating to ventilation and gas management.
  • Support Appin's production team meet targets through day-to-day ventilation and gas management activities.

About You

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Solid experience working at an underground coal operation.
  • Demonstrated underground coal supervision, coordinating, or managing work groups.
  • Ability to communicate, contribute, influence, and make decisions within multi-functional teams.
  • A passion for developing, coaching, and mentoring employees resulting in improved engagement, diversity, and organisational capability.
