The Urban Design Project Manager will lead the preparation of urban design strategies and masterplans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement key Council policy documents, including contributions to the Local Strategic Planning Statement, Housing Strategy, and planning policies
  • Prepare and assess design content of planning proposals and development applications
  • Produce high-quality design guidelines, development controls, and 3D modelling for key sites and precincts
  • Represent Council and advocate for design excellence in cross-disciplinary forums, executive briefings, and community engagement
  • Manage consultant procurement, project delivery, and stakeholder communication
  • Oversee and monitor the implementation of Council's capital works programs related to the public domain and open space

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NSW planning system, policies, and legislation, and excellent stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills. They will also be able to synthesise complex information into integrated and creative outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Urban Design Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading urban design projects from concept to completion, working closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
