Job Overview

A skilled and experienced Panel Beater is required to work on high-quality repairs, ensuring vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition.

This is a full-time position in various areas, requiring someone with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect received parts for defects and verify they match the job sheet.
  • Disassemble vehicles as per the job requirements, labeling and storing parts correctly.
  • Notify the estimator of any broken or extra parts required.
  • Check new parts for damage and communicate any defects to the production manager.
  • Colour mix and match vehicles after preparation, then prime and paint them according to the job sheet and supplier's process.
  • Build and maintain a colour library for reference.
  • Repair vehicles to OEM standards, following estimates and job sheets.
  • Reassemble vehicles, handling them with care.
  • Clean work areas and handle company tools and equipment responsibly.
  • Coach apprentices when necessary and adhere to our OH&S policy.
About You:
  • Trade qualified in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with 4 years of service.
  • Strong commitment to safety and excellent communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and reliability.
  • Own tools and equipment to perform the role effectively.
