Electron Microprobe Professional

The Electron Microprobe Professional is a key role in the Centre for Microscopy, Characterisation and Analysis at The University of Western Australia.

This position involves managing the electron microprobe capability and providing expertise to support academic staff, technical staff, students and external stakeholders with their research pursuits.

  • Deliver high-impact research outcomes in microscopy.
  • Contribute to the success of Western Australia's internationally recognised geoscience research community.
  • Full-time appointment on an ongoing basis.

About You:

  • Relevant tertiary education or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Advanced knowledge of electron microprobe workflows and applications within research, especially in the geosciences.
  • Advanced knowledge and technical experience in sample preparation relevant to electron microprobe.
  • Extensive experience engaging and supporting diverse research programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant policies and procedures for the administration of infrastructure and Occupational Health & Safety.
