**Job Title:** Service Improvement Lead

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for a skilled professional to take on a key role in shaping service standards and practices within regional mental health services.

You will be responsible for leading the development of a culture of safety, quality, and risk management aligned with National Standards and SA Health Frameworks. This involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, service providers, and the community to provide advice, expertise, and support on clinical areas of risk, clinical and corporate safety, and quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing strategies to enhance service quality and patient safety
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address clinical and operational risks
  • Liaising with government and non-government agencies to drive consistent improvement across regional services

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, including communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills. They will also have expertise in mental health practice and a sound understanding of relevant standards.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Psychology, and full membership of the relevant professional association (AHP4 level)
  • Eligibility for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practicing certificate, along with a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent) (RN4 level)
