About the Role

NES Fircroft is partnering with a world leader in mining to find an experienced Principal Mining Systems Engineer for a 6-month contract position based in South Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage prospective changes to asset strategies and monitor their integrity and effectiveness.
  • Optimise asset strategies in collaboration with Maintenance teams, Engineering, and other Functions to keep them current, relevant, and accurate.
  • Lead and deliver improvement initiatives that optimise our asset strategies to support the business plan.
  • Monitor and improve key system Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) metrics and root cause analysis of failures is effectively completed.
About You
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Technology (e.g. electronics, communication systems).
  • Strong working experience with Technology equipment in the Mining Industry, including Mobile Radio systems, Mobile network experience (WIFI), Fleet management, Distraction management, Proximity awareness, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in facilitating RCA (Root Cause Analysis) workshops, including knowledge of the RCA tools and experience in utilizing these tools and processes.
  • Understanding risk assessment and ability to apply change management.
  • Ability to collaborate, influence, and work with site-based operational teams.
